2014 Tom Bell Memorial Classic

Oneonta, AL – Limestone Springs graciously hosted the 3rd annual Tom Bell Memorial Classic on April 15th and 16th. This year the tournament hosted 16 teams despite rain, winds, and a damp course. After day one Mountain Brook’s Michael Brown was in the lead after posting a tournament low 67 (-5). Michael with the help of Wilson Simmons who shot a 71 (-1) lead his team to a 285 (-3). This team score was also a tournament low. And finally after a strong day one performance the Mountain Brook team also captured the lowest two round team score record as well by posting a 585 (+9).

All the records can be found here.

With many records broken Mountain Brook, who lost to Oneonta in heartbreaking fashion in 2012, finally gets their name on the Tom Bell Memorial plaque. Congratulations to the Spartans and all the teams that participated in the 2014 Tom Bell Memorial Classic. We hope to see everyone next year.
