Oneonta, AL – Limestone Springs graciously hosted the 5th annual Tom Bell Memorial Classic on April 11th and 12th. This year the tournament hosted 18 teams despite rain and a damp course on day 2. After day one Homewood’s Connor Doyal & Guntersville’s Reagan Harrell shared the lead both posting a 68 (-4) in round 1.
The course became damp Monday evening and posed a much stronger challenge for the players in day 2. Ultimately it was Oak Mountain’s Harrison Mink who prevailed through the poor conditions & beat out Mountain Brook’s Ben Fuller in a playoff hole. Mink carded a birdie on the first playoff whole to win first place individual honors.
Congratulations are in order for Harrison Mink (1st), Ben Fuller (2nd), Reagan Harrell (3rd), Stewart Miller (T-4th), & Connor Doyal (T-4th) for their strong performances.
The final leaderboards can be found here.
Congratulations to the Homewood Patriots for taking home the tournament as a team led by strong play from Connor Doyal (T-4th) & Jack Goldasich (T-8th). Not to mention their other 3 players, Ben Harris (T-14th), Jack Poole (T-16th), & Nolen Langford (T-44th). Impressive work across the board from the Patriots and all the teams that participated in the 2016 Tom Bell Memorial Classic. We hope to see everyone next year!
